cliq reads your prompt and a little about your machine, so it is worth being precise about where that goes.

The program

cliq is a local terminal program. Your model key and settings live in ~/.config/rocks/cliq on your Mac, in a file only your account can read, and recent suggestions are cached under ~/.cache/rocks/cliq for a day. None of that is sent to us. cliq has no account system and no server of ours in the middle.

What goes to your model provider

When you ask for commands, cliq sends your description and a short summary of the situation to the provider you configured, using your key: the current directory, your shell, whether you are in a git repository, the names of command-line tools you have installed, and the kinds of files in the folder. It does not send file contents. That request goes straight from your Mac to that provider, and what they do with it is covered by their terms, not ours.

This website

This site is a few pages of text. It runs no analytics, sets no cookies, and counts no downloads. Homebrew fetches the program from GitHub rather than from here, so installing cliq tells us nothing.

If that ever changes

A later version could have a reason to count something. It does not today. If it ever does, this page will say exactly what is counted before that version ships, and your prompts will stay out of it.
